Bygone Days Workshops

Our Lampshade Workshop is due to start in a few weeks and as I am only having a small class of six make sure you contact me and make you booking to ensure your place. A deposit of $50 is required. Dates are WEEK ONE :Wednesday October 28th, from 9.40 until 12.30 We will meet up at the shop at 128 Long Rd Eagle Heights to choose our colour schemes and flowers then continue to my house at 24 Elbert Crt, Eagle Heights where we wil meet for the following 2 weeks. WEEK TWO :Wednesday November 4th from 10 until 12.30 WEEK THREE :Wednesday November 11th from 10 until 12.30 The total cost including  tuition at $30 per week and Lamp ($65) and 1 Mt Beaded fringing, Flowers, Lace, Dye, Glue, Bag kit and Morning Tea comes to $210. Lampshade Workshop This workshop includes tuition in hand dying lace, floral arranging , colour co-ordination and glue gun techniques. It runs over three weeks with the following format. Week one - Lace Dying Meet at the shop 128 Long Rd , Gallery Walk. Eagle Heights at 10 am and choose lace, colour scheme and pay for course. Continue to either Deb’s house or Karen’s house (depending on who is available) Start with coffee and cake while getting some tips on the dying. Dye Lace and appliqué and heat set it in the microwave oven. Iron . Finish about 12.30 Week two – Gaining confidence with the hot glue gun Meet at 10 at designated house for morning tea while hearing tips on the use of the hot glue gun. Measure lamp for beaded fringing and cut to fit Make an organza bag using beaded fringing that is left over from lampshade and 3 flowers. ( Hot glue gun techniques) Finish about 12.30 Week Three – Floral arranging Meet at 10 at designated house for morning tea and learn some tips on colour and floral arranging Choose flowers for you lampshade and experiment with layout. Glue flowers in place. Finish about 12.30 Cost of Workshop and Inclusions Tuition per week is $30 plus materials. = $90 Morning tea included Materials Table Lamp and base ½ Mt of long lace (max $12. Per Mt) ½ Mt of short lace (max $4.50 pm) Appliqué (small long piece, small V, heart, frame, wings or 2 x fans ) Use of Glue and Dyes ( also available for personal purchase at $5.50 per bottle) 1 Mt of medium beaded fringing Large Organza bag kit ( includes organza bag, 3 flowers and long tassel) Flowers = 1 medium Rose, 2 Large hydrangea flowers and 2 forget-me-nots Choice of 2 of Carrabella rose, delphinium, English rose , organza rose bud or violas Total $120 to be paid when booking class, plus the $30 per week. Or Total up front Total $200 This can be done as a one morning session only if you want to just do the lace dying. Cost $30 plus $20 for materials. Total $50

Lace Dying Workshop This is a morning workshop running from 10 am to 12.30pm and including morning tea, lace, an appliqué, dye and tuition. Cost is $50 all inclusive. Lampshade Workshop This runs over three consecutive weeks – 3 morning a week and includes morning tea each week, lampshade and base, lace, appliqué, dye, glue, beaded fringing, flowers, organza bag kit and tuition All inclusive cost $210 Accessories Workshop This is a one morning workshop running from 10 am to 12.30 pm and including morning tea, metal hair clip, brooch back, comb, flowers and beads, glue, medium organza bag kit and tuition. All inclusive cost $50 Coat Hanger Workshop This includes lace dying and assembling and gluing a coat hanger. It runs for one morning from 10 am to 12.30 and includes morning tea, a padded coathanger, enough lace to cover , dye, glue, flower and beaded tassel. All inclusive cost $50 Tassel Workshop You get to play with chainette and beaded fringing in this workshop creating a lovely tassel to hang on a door knob. All materials are included as well as morning tea in this one morning workshop starting at 10 and ending at 12.30 All inclusive cost $50

Tassel Workshop During this workshop you will construct a beautiful tassel using chainette fringing, beaded fringing and velvet flowers. You have the choice of colour schemes Romantique – Burgundy, Woodland – Green, Vintage Vogue – Purple, Tre Chic – Pink, Cinnibah – Golds, Nautilus – Blue Workshop starts at 10am includes morning tea and ends at 12.30. All inclusive cost is $50 – including materials to make one tassel

Accessories Workshop This is a good starter work shop in which you get to make a hair comb, clip, brooch, large hair clamp and a medium organza bag. Class starts at 10 am at either Deb’s house (Eagle Heights with Gold Coast views) or Karen’s house (Mount Tamborine with views of Mount Warning) and ends at 12.30. Morning tea is included so why not get a group together and come up and make a day of it on beautiful Tamborine Mountain. Please get in contact with us if you are interested in doing any of these workshops.  A non-refundable deposit up front is required to ensure your position in classs however if we fail to reach the minimum of six per class we may have to reschedule the workshop. Why not get a group together yourself and come up for a day on beautiful Mount Tamborine.  If you have your own glue gun that you are familiar with please feel free to bring it.
